    2024-08-05

Rubber flooring is a type of floor made from natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or a combination of the two. It's known for its outstanding durability, slip resistance, shock absorption, stain resistance, and ease of cleaning. Therefore, it's widely used in commercial, educational, medical, and residential settings.

There are three common types of rubber flooring:

Rubber rolled flooring-They are continuous sheets of material that are suitable for large areas, such as sports halls, train stations, and airports.
Rubber tiles-They are made by assembling blocks of varying colors, shapes, and sizes and are suitable for small spaces, such as restaurants, shops, and offices.
Rubber mat-They are used for shock absorption and floor protection and are suitable for locations such as gyms, factories, and warehouses.

The production process of rubber flooring varies depending on the supplier, but the following steps give us a rough understanding of the production of rubber rolled flooring.

Step 1 - The process begins with materials such as EPDM, recycled tires, natural latex, etc.
Step 2 - Dry materials are mixed with adhesives such as polyurethane and mixed for a period of time until a uniform mixture is achieved.
Step 3 - The rubber mixture is poured into a mixing mill for direct mixing and open mixing.
Step 4 - The rubber that has been open mixed is allowed to sit for a day or two to harden.
Step 5 - The rubber is rolled out using a rolling machine and then cooled.
Step 6 - Rubber rolls are continuously hot-molded, then cooled, ground, and edge-cut.
Step 7 - Finally, quality inspection is carried out followed by packaging and shipping.
